Lisa Hufford Photography is a Chicago wedding photographer with a modern and editorial style. We can't wait to connect with you!
Like all of my 2020 Chicago wedding photography clients, Brie and Brett were supposed to have a big wedding. They were SO excited to have the gorgeous Monte Bello Estate booked for their Chicago wedding. After much thought, Brie and Brett decided to get married this year and then have their big party in the summer of 2021.
They coordinated with their venue, Monte Bello Estate, and planned a romantic outdoor afternoon ceremony overlooking the mansion’s gardens. Their florist, Prairie Honey Floral Studio, created the most beautiful bouquet full of lush roses in soft pinks and whites. White lanterns with florals lined the pathway down the ceremony aisle.
It was one of those summer afternoons where it was, of course, threatening rain off and on. During the ceremony, a soft rain started. Brie’s maid of honor quickly grabbed an umbrella and covered Brie’s head. However, the rain didn’t even matter as Brie and Brett only focused on each other. It was so beautiful to witness the love and strength this couple shares in one another. They held each other’s hands so tight as the ceremony went on. Brie and Brett beamed with happiness when they finally were pronounced husband and wife! Brie was so excited and clapping before she gave her husband his kiss.
After the ceremony, we had enough time to take some newlywed portraits around the Monte Bello Estate grounds. After capturing these photos, the two were whisked away to their intimate reception at Brie’s parents’ house. Brie and Brett – thank you for being so amazing to work with. I’ve enjoyed every second of getting to know you both! You both are so kind and loving to everyone you know. I can’t wait to celebrate with you (and your puppy) again this summer!
