Hi! I'm Lisa. I'm a Chicago-based wedding photographer known for my classic and timeless style. I love blogging about my photography and my love of fashion!
Anyone else as ready as I am to trade in your sweatshirt and joggers and DRESS UP? Since I’m dreaming of days where I can wear something fancy to a wedding. I put together a few wedding dress inspo boards to start planning. Are you looking to be the Best Dressed Wedding Guest at your upcoming wedding? Well check these out!
Literally I just posted these two dresses on my Instagram stories and everyone is asking about this beautiful Cinq a Sept dress. Who wouldn’t be obsessed with this feminine dress with florals and ruffled trim. I think this dress would look beautiful for an early spring, fall or winter wedding. I think it is dressy enough that you can wear it to a variety of venues, too. Pair it with some nude scrappy heels and some delicate drop earrings. Total best dressed worthy.
The dress on the right is a midi length Alice + Olivia shirtdress. I’m really obsessed with the delicate pattern of this lace on this dress. I love the cut of the dress with the ballooned sleeves, cinched waste and drape of the skirt. I think nude or black heels would look good with this dress. Again, I see this dress falling into early spring, fall or winter wedding guest season. Another best guest worthy dress.
I think I mentioned I’m putting together this post in the middle of January. OF COURSE I needed to add some color to this post! Here I paired two dresses that would be perfect for a summer wedding. I’m thinking a wedding outdoor at the Lincoln Park Zoo, a rooftop hotel or anywhere outside. This first dress by Celiab is so fun (left side). I love the print, the details and the color. I’m a big fan of Shoshanna dresses and this one is no exception. I don’t own this dress but other dresses by this designer fit so well. Something about this color reminds me of Elle Woods.
I LOVE both of these dresses! They are classic and would wear so well at any wedding. What I love about both is that they are timeless but have enough detail to make them both modern. The first dress by ALC is classic yet modern with its asymmetric hem. I love the pleated skirt and to me this dress looks so comfortable! Add some gold hoop earrings and this is a winner. The second dress by Chi Chi London is another lace dress. This one is a sheath style with an off the shoulder sleeve. The burgundy color is still within a sophisticated range of colors appropriate for any downtown wedding.
Lastly, I hope you loved my Best Dressed Wedding Guest post! Want more wedding fashion inspiration? Check out this post about a summer engagement outfit inspiration!
